Community and small-town life in La Pine
La Pine is a small city, and most of what a resident needs is a few official sites away. This page lists them and says only what they say about themselves.
City of La Pine
The City's website lists council and planning commission meetings, an events calendar, agendas and minutes, forms and online payments. The City's mailing address is P.O. Box 2460, La Pine, Oregon 97739. Its site also links to a Parks and Recreation page, visitor information, business information and the chamber of commerce.
La Pine Park and Recreation District
The City's own parks page describes the district as managing 85 square miles of land and offering indoor and outdoor opportunities for residents of all ages, including after-school and summer programs for youth, adult education courses and a senior calendar. The district's website names these facilities: Audia Park, Kelly Young Memorial Park, Finley Butte Sports Complex and Park, the La Pine Community Center, Leona Park and a skate park. It also lists Three Rivers Outdoor and Education Park and Frontier Heritage Park as rentable facilities, and its site links Rosland Campground.
Library and chamber
The Deschutes Public Library lists a La Pine Library at 16425 1st Street. The La Pine Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center is the local chamber.
Sunriver and the wider area
La Pine sits in the same county as Sunriver and Bend. Deschutes County posts county services and notices for the whole area.
